At Hallmaster we believe that village halls and venues are at the heart of the community, bringing people together through events, workshops, classes and more. They provide a rich environment that serve every generation.
Each month we’re highlighting venues around the country that epitomise this philosophy through their hard work and community spirit.
Redmond Community Centre
Redmond Community Centre is the local community hub of Woodberry Down in Hackney, having been completed and opened by the Mayor of Hackney in 2012.
The Community Centre is managed by Manor House Development Trust – a charity and social enterprise formed in 2007, that provides help and guidance to other organisations to deliver valuable community services.
- Ceramics classes
- Building public speaking through Toastmasters
- Access to the volunteer-run Woodberry Down Library
- Meditation practises with modern psychology, and free exercise classes for over 55s
- A kitchen club and weekly Community Fridge, and cooking sessions for asylum seekers
- Community day trips and film screenings
- Citizens Advice Hackney – providing debt and social welfare advice for the community
The Centre is a welcoming hub enriching its community with support, guidance, and social activities bringing residents and visitors together.
Hallmaster has proven to be immensely beneficial. Prior to implementing this system, we lacked a proper structure, leading to instances of double booking. However, since adopting Hallmaster, we have experienced a seamless booking process without any issues. Additionally, generating invoices has become effortlessly simple with just a single click. This has significantly reduced our administrative workload.
Redmond Community Centre is also available for hire!
For those important team meetings or small events, the Centre offers their Meeting Rooms. Each room has disabled access, tables and chairs, free wifi, air conditioning, and a projector (available on request).
For larger parties, weddings, and events, the Centre also provides their Main Hall and kitchen. With a capacity for 100 people sitting, or 120 standing, the Hall overlooks the reservoir creating a beautiful backdrop for your special occasions.
