Hallmaster at Church Resources Conference 2025

Connecting with the Church Community in Belfast

On Thursday 18th September 2025, Hallmaster was delighted to take part in Church Resources, held at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast. This one-stop event brought together clergy, church staff, volunteers, trustees and lay leaders from across Northern Ireland to explore resources, ideas and services that support the life of the church.

As one of the exhibitors and supporters, Hallmaster had a stand at the event – not just to showcase our platform, but to engage in conversation, listen to the challenges local churches face, and demonstrate how our booking and invoicing system can serve church communities.

Why Hallmaster Was There

The reason we at Hallmaster were so enthusiastic to take part in the Church Resources event is simple: our purpose aligns closely with the practical, behind-the-scenes needs of churches that hire out halls, host community groups, or operate multi-use buildings.

Bridging IT & Church Operations

Many churches and community buildings are run on tight budgets, often with volunteers juggling multiple roles. Efficient, robust systems can make a huge difference in day-to-day operations. Hallmaster’s software helps reduce the administrative burden of bookings, invoicing, and calendar management – freeing up staff and volunteers to focus on other important tasks.

Tailored for Church Halls & Shared Spaces

Hallmaster isn’t a generic booking tool. It supports features such as integrated invoicing, double-booking prevention, managing regular groups, website calendar embedding, and accounting integrations (Sage, Xero, etc). Churches frequently run community groups, clubs, meeting rooms, concert nights and more – having a system that understands that complexity is invaluable.

Building Trust & Relationships

Events like Church Resources are more than product demos – they are opportunities to build relationships. By being present, Hallmaster’s team could meet directly with church leaders, hear their stories, answer questions live, and understand regionally specific concerns. That face-to-face engagement helps to build trust and ensures that our future plans are informed by real church needs.

Supporting the Aims of Church Resources

Church Resources exists to help churches be better organised, resourced and equipped in their local context. Offering a streamlined, affordable tool for managing buildings and bookings aligns with those goals. We see Hallmaster as part of that ecosystem – a supporting resource, not just a vendor.

What We Heard From Delegates

With many of the delegates we spoke to on the day, a recurring theme was time management. Often, one person shoulders the biggest task of coordinating suppliers who want to hire the space for workshops, courses, sports or toddler groups on a regular basis, while also keeping it open for one-off bookings like fairs, parties and community events.

Typically, this means long hours spent on spreadsheets, juggling dates, and trying to accommodate last-minute changes. And of course, if that one person falls ill or is away, everything grinds to a halt.

By showing how Hallmaster’s schedular allows regular groups to book themselves, and how multiple administrators can share access, we demonstrate how our system can ease the burden and spread responsibilities more fairly.

Our Commitment

To us, Church Resources is exactly the kind of event where Hallmaster belongs. Churches are not just our clients – many are partners looking to achieve a shared aspiration: enabling service to our communities.

By being at the Belfast event, Hallmaster reaffirmed its commitment to the church sector. We want to listen, adapt, and grow with you. For any church in Northern Ireland (or elsewhere) considering better ways to run their halls and bookings: we’re not just selling software – we’re recognising the day to day challenges of church life in particular.

If you were at Church Resources and visited our stand, thank you for stopping by! We’d love to continue the conversation. And if you didn’t get a chance this time, feel free to reach out and we’ll be glad to show you how Hallmaster could help your community thrive.
